Valentines, Legends, and Rock-n-Roll

Though today is Valentine's Day, Cliff and I celebrated last night. (We are running the Predators Fangtastic 5K this morning, and then going to the game tonight...pics up tomorrow) This is our first Valentine's as husband and wife :)

We kicked it all off with visits from the "Valentine Fairy"....the gift exchange. Cliff got a heart filled with Skittles and a new copy of our house key, which he lost several weeks ago. This one has flames on it! He also got a bottle of his favorite beverage... Welch's Sparkling Grape Juice :)

I got some beautiful roses and some almond M&M's...mmmmm!

Then, we headed to Legends Steakhouse. I had gotten some coupons in the mail, so I thought it would be nice to go there. We had our rehearsal dinner at Legends, and thought it might be romantic if we went back.... Ok, so it wasn't romantic at all! They seated us in a room with two pool tables and big table of guys just sittin' around chewin' the fat and drinking their beer. A far cry from the picture I had in my head of our Valentine dinner! At least the food was decent. We probably couldn've eaten at Ruby Tuesday's for the same price (even with the coupon), and had a much nicer time. Oh well....moving on!

After dinner, we decided to just rent a movie instead of going to the theater. Since we had to get up early this morning to prepare for the race, we didn't want to be out too late. After much debate, we settled on a movie called The Rocker. It starred Rainn Wilson (Dwight, from The Office) as a hasbeen 80's rocker. It was actually pretty funny, and it had some great music in it.

So, the evening wasn't a total bust. No.... it was great! It was great because we got to spend it together as husband & wife :) Happy Valentine's Day!
