Yesterday was our third time running the Predators Fangtastic 5K. Though we don't do many 5k's anymore, this is one that we enjoy every year. Not only is it a fun race, but you also get to go to the hockey game that night for free!
This year was a lot of fun.....despite the gale force winds! At least it was warmer this year than in years past. The previous two years we found ourselves having to bundle up from head to toe! So, it was nice not to have to do that this year. We had some new friends who joined us this year too. It was their very first race, and I think we might have them hooked :)
We had a great time getting to know Yvonne & Brian, and it's always fun hanging with Heidi :) Good times were had by all. And of course a special thanks to Dale, Caiden, and Dawson for the crowd support!
We all met back up later that evening at Jack's BBQ (yummy!) for dinner before heading to the game. It's sort of a tradition for Cliff and I. We ate there before the first hockey game we ever went to together, and it just stuck :) If you're looking for good BBQ, Jack's (on Broadway) is the place.... but be prepared to stand in line!
The game was a lot of fun! Dale, Heidi, and Caiden had seats with us. It was Caiden's first game. We played Boston (best team in the league right now), and totally beat them in a shootout. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see it. We decided to leave a little early.It was a great way to spend a Saturday! Hopefully, we can all do it again next year, and maybe even recruit some more folks :)
